Introduction of Training Center for Renewable Energy in Afghanistan.

ABOUT

Across Afghanistan, almost 30 percent of the people have access to energy while there is a marvelous potential for clean and readily bundant forms of renewable energy that can help powering more homes and Businesses. The Government of Afghanistan stresses in deployment of country’s domestic energy resources to become self reliant. Taken together, our capacity for safe and reliable energy generation can drive a clean energy renaissance that will create jobs, strengthen our national security, develop economy, and preserve our environment.

The training center in renewable energy project (TCRENAF) was created to implement the Slovak Republic’s development aid for Afghanistan with the support of Slovak Aid in the field of education and vocational training of young people in renewable energy sources. This field is one of the basic preconditions of stability and development of Afghanistan and is one of the main national priorities of Afghanistan and the international community contributing to the reconstruction of the country. Demand for vocational training in Afghanistan has been very high in recent years, but the lack of experienced qualified professionals and necessary technical facilities represents a challenge particularly in the Energy sector, which needs rapid development.

MISSION

Creating a professional strategic education framework for providing innovative and quality service in renewable energy sector  that meet the professional technology world standards, lecturers who have not only theoretical but, above all, practical experience in this case and were trained in EU.

VISSION

The aim of this project is to contribute to the capacity building in energy sector of Afghanistan through the development of technical equipment and facilities, development of human potential, building and establishing cooperation of Slovak and Afghan institutions and transfer of knowledge and know-how from Slovakia.

KEY ELEMENTS

  • TCRENAF will self-perform to ensure challenges are addressed without concern about commercial issues,
  • To ensure strict schedule conformance, we will employ project management and QC processes successfully used on our previous projects,
  • Our field staff are mostly local Afghans, enabling us to work where others would not,
  • Because of our experience, we have a thorough understanding of the logistical and operational constraints we will encounter working in that region,
  • We employ more than 10 experienced personnel in Afghanistan.

WHY US

  • Updated modern and updated equipment and machinery,
  • Training experience to staff of various organizations,
  • Well-equipped laboratory,
  • Expertise and training in International Electrical Code (IEC),
  • Expertise in Gravity Circulation Solar Systems and Flat-Plate Solar Collector systems.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT RESOURCES

We carefully select our project management team based on each team member’s experience, expertise, and availability to execute projects and each team member is selected according to experience in similar projects, project’s requirements, knowledge of the local area, and having technical expertise in every component of the project.  Due to our size, the selected team will be dedicated to this effort, ensuring the clients that we are not sharing personnel assets across multiple projects.

TECHNOLOGY, EQUIPMENT AND FACILITY

TCRENAF is located in one of the leading educational institutions- Kabul University and is closely in cooperation with renewable energy department of Engineering Faculty of Kabul University.

TCRENAF is equipped with updated technologies from leading international companies such as Schneider Electric and it laboratory equipment are the latest found in the market. We have employed latest technologies in photo-voltaic and photo-thermal systems.

We have a sound training facility located in the center of Kabul city and easily accessible to every interested participant.

PARTNERING UTILIZATION

TCRENAF utilizes Partnering on all of our projects. Partnering is a Project management tool that helps project teams work together in an atmosphere of trust and cooperation and complete projects on time or ahead of schedule and on or under budget.

TCRENAF has a proven track record of participation within a number of successful alliance / partnering projects. Our experience and capability in operating within these arrangements has enabled us to contribute considerably to the format and organization of the contracts. A key element of the success of these projects has been the development of teamwork between the personnel of both the client and alliance partners at all levels, leading to a clear understanding of each other’s requirements and the sharing of common goals. A common result of the sharing of goals and objectives has been the high level of safety and quality, with programmed completion on time or bettered, along with cost savings against the overall budget.

TCENAF’s experience of working in alliances or partnerships includes various arrangements where we have worked with the client, other contractors and suppliers in a non-adversarial, pro-active environment.
